Conference overview
The 2011 Recovery Summit was held Saturday October 15 at Loyola Marymount University. This year's program featured Dr. Kevin McCauley, Onaje Salim from SAMHSA's Center for Substance Abuse Treatment, Dr. A.J. Mooney, Dr. Allen Berger, housing rights attorney Matthew Gorman and advocate Deborah Parker, Dr. Seth Kadish, Beth Fisher, President of the National Association of Recovery Residences, a panel discussion on housing rights and more. Program topics and speaker profiles can be found elsewhere on the Summit site. Just follow the links at the left.
We extend our sincere thanks to this year's speakers, sponsors and volunteers for making this our best Summit ever. The 2012 Summit will be held in either the second or third week of October 2012. Watch this space for details as they develop.
The Summit is one of Southern California's most prominent addiction conferences. This exceptional program is devoted to recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction, presented from many viewpoints, and focused on the experiences of people working in the field. "Recovery" as a topical area is deceptively broad. Presenters and panelists include psychologists, sober living providers, physicians, homeless services providers, interventionists, social workers and criminal justice professionals.

If addiction and recovery matter to you, either personally or professionally, the Summit is a good place to be. You'll recognize several of the panelists and speakers.
Continuing education hours are available for Summit participants. See this page for more information.
